The Doherty Institute has created a governance structure that supports integration and fosters collaboration, strong leadership and management, creating a unified organisation.
Governance
The Doherty Institute is governed by the Doherty Council, which comprises of senior level executives from the University of Melbourne and The Royal Melbourne Hospital, and the Director of the Institute.
The Doherty Institute’s Executive Team comprises of the organisation’s Director, Deputy Directors and Chief Operating Officer. Their role is to devise and lead the implementation of the Doherty Institute’s strategic plan.
The purpose of the Science Advisory Board (SAB) is to provide advice to the Doherty Institute’s Director on a range of issues related to the success of the Institute.
The Doherty Institute’s Theme and Cross-cutting Discipline Leaders roles are to devise and lead the implementation of the Doherty Institute’s strategic plan across their areas of expertise.
