The National Antimicrobial Resistance and Stewardship Forum will be held at the University of Melbourne on Thursday, 1 November, and Friday, 2 November, 2018.
This forum, organised jointly by a number of Australian clinical and research groups working on AMR and AMS, will offer a dynamic program covering all facets of the response to antimicrobial resistance, including clinical infectious diseases and antimicrobial stewardship, translational science, new drug development, veterinary and agricultural medicine, and government, media and policy responses.
As part of the forum, a series of workshops focusing on different professional groups will be offered on Thursday, 1 November (and a general practice workshop on 17 November). The sepsis workshop is by invitation only (for participants of a current state-wide collaborative project).
The 2018 forum is being hosted by the National Centre for Antimicrobial Stewardship (Department of Medicine and Doherty Institute, University of Melbourne) and Safer Care Victoria (Department of Health and Human Services, Victoria).
The cost of registration is as follows: workshops on 1 November (free); symposium on 2 November ($50); and students (free). If you are a student and would like to attend the symposium on 2 November, please contact the NCAS team directly using your student e-mail account and the contact form here.
