Professor Linqi Zhang - Tsinghua University
Professor Zhang is the Director of the Comprehensive AIDS Research Center at Tsinghua University. Prof. Zhang's research focuses on HIV-1 pathogenesis and vaccine development, and has recently expanded to cover emerging and re-emerging human viral pathogens, such as SARS-CoV-1/2 and MERS-CoV. Using cutting-edge antibody and antigen library techniques, Prof. Zhang aims to characterize protective antibody immunity and explore rational design of effective vaccines and therapies against viral infections.
Dr Runhong Zhou - The University of Hong Kong
Dr Zhou obtained his PhD from Wuhan University then completed his postdoctoral training in the laboratory of Dr. Zhiwei Chen at the University of Hong Kong. His primary research interest is the molecular mechanisms underlying the regulation of dendritic cells (DC) during HIV infection. He is investigating a DC-based vaccine for HIV functional cure. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, he has investigated the role of host immune responses in acute SARS-CoV-2 infection. Dr Wei Zhao – The Doherty Institute
DrWei Zhao - Doherty Institute
Dr Wei Zhao is a postdoctoral research fellow in Professor Sharon Lewin's laboratory at the Doherty Institute, Australia. His main research interest is in vitro study of HIV and HBV co-infection in the hepatocytes. He is also leading projects on COVID-19 using novel strategies to inhibit SARS-CoV-2 replication.
