LIFT: Investigating T cell immunity to influenza in Indigenous populations
Indigenous Australians suffer from higher rates of infection, hospitalisation and death from influenza. We are investigating whether there are underlying immunological reasons associated with this. In particular, we are examining the T cell responses to influenza peptides. The knowledge gained will inform the development of T cell based influenza vaccines for Indigenous populations.
