The role of unconventional T cells in cancer immunity

Unconventional T cells include CD1-lipid reactive NKT cells, MR1-metabolite reactive MAIT cells and gamma-delta T cells. The role that these cells play in immunity to cancer, and their potential for immunotherapy, is unclear. We are exploring this in both human clinical samples and mouse models.
