Ann received her PhD in 2000 from Victoria University in the study of diabetic impact on fetal tissue growth. She then worked to find non-invasive treatments for eye diseases before landing at the CSIRO designing diagnostics for early detection of cancer. In 2011, Ann obtained her Masters in Social Health and has since worked to understand and help high risk populations and worked at places such as Turning Point, Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine and Monash IVF. Ann has published in scientific journals and is keen to utilise her skills to better help people with viral hepatitis.

      Ben’s group focuses on viral hepatitis epidemiological research. The team undertakes a broad range of activities supporting local, national and global control of viral hepatitis, through surveillance, treatment and prevention initiatives, and training and regional capacity building.
