COMBAT-AMR

A consortium of organisations from around the world, including the Doherty Institute, are partnering with Pacific Island countries to address the rising threat of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Made possible through a grant from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s Indo-Pacific Centre for Health Security, COMBAT-AMR provides training, mentorship and capacity building for COVID-19 in Fiji, Samoa, Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea.

COMBAT-AMR is supporting Pacific Island Countries with implementation of laboratory diagnostics for COVID-19, in collaboration with The Pacific Community and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) Indo-Pacific Centre for Health Security. The sub-project is being implemented by a team of experts across three major public health, reference and diagnostic laboratories at the Doherty Institute.
