Nicole Romero is an epidemiologist within the WHO Collaborating Centre for Viral Hepatitis and completed her Master of Science in Epidemiology at the University of Melbourne in 2016. Nicole has an interest in surveillance, infectious diseases and global health and is involved in Victorian, national and WHO-related viral hepatitis research and surveillance. Nicole is currently working across several projects including the Victorian Perinatal Hepatitis B Prevention Project and the Surveillance for Hepatitis B Indicators Project. Nicole has also been directly involved in the Centre’s international work supporting WPRO in surveillance and strategic information consultations, scoping missions and facilitation of in-country workshops.
