Computational Sciences Initiative

The Discovery Research area led by the Wright Fellow, Dr Jan Schroeder, is focussed on bioinformatics analyses of high dimensional data sets generated by omics methods. This includes but is not limited to: data integration, genomics, bulk and single cell transcriptomics, epigenomics, proteomics, immune profiling, analyses of multiomics data sets, spatial biology methods, and analysis of immune response data. Dr Schroeder is well versed in using existing tools and developing new tools and pipelines for bespoke needs.

Discovery Research also liaises with the Doherty Applied Microbial Genomics (DAMG) platform for genomics analyses, facilitated by Dr Calum Walsh.

Advice on project design, grant applications, and all aspects of data management, storage, analysis, interpretation and presentation are invited. Assistance in this area can be secured by either subscription (funding partial FTE) or fee-for-service (FFS) mechanisms. Please contact jenny.anderson@unimelb.edu.au to discuss your needs.
