Dr Kanhutu is an infectious diseases physician with a background in immunology and French language studies.
Current clinical roles are in refugee health and general infectious diseases.
Special research interests include digital literacy, public health policy and women’s health.
Current research undertakings are in the areas of virtual care and housing as a social determinant of refugee settlement outcomes.
In addition to providing clinical care to patients at RMH and Cohealth Dr Kanhutu is keen to collaborate with researchers working in digital health and/or refugee health.

It is a rare honour to be able to work in the rich academic and clinical environment that the Parkville Precinct provides. I aim to continue to contribute and collaborate with others to ensure that our healthcare and research system supports equitable outcomes for all.
